Shawn's journey into the financial sector was preceded by an eight-year tenure in the U.S. Army. It was as a young Army officer leading an artillery battery that he was recognized for his outstanding training skills, a recognition that ignited his passion for innovative coaching and training.
This passion and his expertise in aligning the sales approach to the client’s buying process proved instrumental in his later career, where he skillfully coached teams to secure multiple wealth management relationships exceeding $100 million.
Previously, Shawn was the Managing Director and Private Wealth Management Executive for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest at Union Bank.
Before that, he served as Regional Managing Director for the Wealth Management Business at Wells Fargo and has held roles with Prudential Securities and Edward Jones.
Shawn is a graduate of the University of Oregon and outside of work he has served as a charter board member for Veteran Starts (VetStarts) and as a Vice Chair for Programs at the Capital Region Family Business Center, roles that underscore his commitment to giving back to the community and supporting business growth.
